In 1995, Minhaj Welfare Foundation began an unprecedented campaign aimed at providing access to basic education to most rural and marginalised communities for underprivileged children. Today, twenty years later, our journey reflects the cooperation of donors worldwide who want to see education prosper in less developing countries. Providing education is the most sustainable form of charity.
Pakistan ranks second highest for out-of-school children, most of whom are girls.
Building on the vision of “Education for All”, in 2018 Minhaj Welfare Foundation has embarked on constructing another orphan village for girls in the deprived Southern Punjab region of Khanewal – Pakistan. The project is estimated at half a million pounds. It will include a dedicated girls college for more than 800 students, boarding facilities, primary & secondary school and a vocational training centre to equip young women with skills helping them earn an alternative income to support their families.
